Recognized by the Dallas Business Journal with the prestigious awards of "40 Under Forty" and "Minority Business Leader", James Nowlin is CEO of Excel Global Partners, a Texas-based firm specializing in management and corporate financial consulting.  Excel Global Partners assists CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CAOs, CIOs, and GCs with challenges like building infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, rapid growth, improving performance, bridging a leadership skill, or navigating a company through change.       As leading financial and technology experts, Excel Global Partners has led a wide range of companies through multi-million dollar transactions.  Excel Global Partners’ mix of engagement models include 1) Consulting Services, 2) Project Staffing to support the C-Suite, 3) Executive Search, and 4) Interim Executives.  Nowlin credits his team’s success with always sharing the clients’ sense of urgency and by measuring Excel’s success in term of his clients’ financial success.     Nowlin founded Excel Global Partners with a commitment to providing clients with solutions-driven executives that have practical, real-world corporate experience and who understand the importance of delivering sustainable results.  Today, Excel Global Partners has clients that range from start-ups, to mid-sized companies owned by private equity, to Fortune 500 companies.    Before founding Excel Global Partners, Nowlin practiced law at one of Texas’ top law firms and later served as a Managing Director of the largest legal search consulting firm in the world.  Nowlin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, a Juris Doctorate degree from the Duke University School of Law, and has completed training for high-performing business leaders at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

• Represented national financing institutions in multi-million dollar financing arrangements for numerous construction, bridge and refinancing loan transactions involving cash management agreements, ground leases, defeasance matters, syndicated tenant-in-common arrangements and cross-collateralized/cross-defaulted financing structures. • Advised and represented one of the largest special and master servicers in the industry in the negotiation and work-out of various defaulted multi-family loans. • Assisted national real estate developers in the acquisition and financing of multi-family real estate projects.
